Saturday, 24 December 2011: Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service
What a Blessing! In a town of about 170 people, over 100 people came to the Henderson Christian Church for the Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service. Pastor Carl read the story of Jesus from start to finish, to the children. It was wonderful to see all the children sitting around Carl in his rocking chair to hear the story of Jesus. We then had the Candlelight Communion and sang Silent Night together. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Saturday, 26 November 2011: Thanksgiving “Leftover Dinner”.
The Thanksgiving Leftover Dinner was a really good event. We had lots of great food and lots of good fellowship. We had about 30 people show up with dishes made from their Thanksgiving dinners. The magical thing here, was that we still had food leftover. It was kind of like Matthew 15:36-37.
Matthew 15:36, And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake [them], and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
Matthew 15:37, And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken [meat] that was left seven baskets full.
What a blessing!

Monday, 24 October 2011: Carpet Install.
New carpet was installed on the Parsonage porch by Pastor Carl, Scoop, and Brent. It took one big roll of carpet, five gallons of carpet glue, two trowels, roughly 200 staples and two hours worth of work. The reward, you ask? Satisfaction of doing a good thing, Good conversation, and some of Maxine’s Delicious Apple Pie A La Mode. Aside from sore knees, stiff back, and sore shoulders it was a good day.
